It's Never Too Late To Lend A Helping Hand

Restoring Hope. Empowering Communities.

Founded in 2019, Secret Place International Ministries is dedicated to serving individuals and families experiencing hardship by providing advocacy, education, and essential community resources.

Through our partnership with the OMS Legacy Foundation, we continue the compassionate legacy of Ollie Mae Spearman, expanding our outreach across Tate County and North Mississippi.

Our programs support individuals facing:

• Homelessness and housing instability
• Domestic violence situations
• Food insecurity
• Financial hardship
• Youth employment challenges
• Senior and veteran support needs

Together, we are building stronger communities through compassion, education, and empowerment.

Homelessness to Hope

Help the homeless on their way to independence.

Unaccompanied people ages 24 and younger made up 22% of all homeless young people in 2023, HUD said. Since last year, the number of unaccompanied homeless young people increased by 15%, including increases for sheltered and unsheltered youth. Foster youth who age out of the foster care system without secure housing and LGBTQ+ youth are some of the groups most likely to fall into youth homelessness.

The HUD’s definition of homelessness includes both sheltered and unsheltered people. Sheltered people are living in domestic violence shelters, transitional shelters, safe havens that serve homeless individuals with severe mental illness, or hotels/motels. Unsheltered people live outdoors, in cars, in abandoned buildings, or in other places not meant for human habitation.

People staying with friends are only considered homeless if they cannot stay there longer than 14 days.

This program is more than education — it’s empowerment.
We are not just preparing individuals for jobs; we are equipping them for life.

Hope Highlights

Together we are dedicated to raising awareness and providing meaningful support for individuals impacted by homelessness, fatherlessness, widowhood, and domestic violence. Through advocacy, resources, and community outreach, we strive to restore hope, strengthen lives, and create pathways toward stability and healing.

“Some legacies don’t end… they multiply…
My mother, Ollie Mae Spearman… lived a life of compassion…
Today, her legacy lives on…
This is a legacy in motion… Join us.”
